Press Release

Press Anouncement

Boulder, CO/Leuven, NL September 16, 2009 – The BeyeNETWORK is pleased to announce that DHL is the overall winner of the 2009 Vision Award for Business Impact for the Benelux region. Category award winners included Group Lambert in the operational business intelligence (BI) category and Echo for corporate performance management. A jury of representatives from business, industry and the scientific community reviewed the submissions and found the DHL story compelling in that the implementation was driven within and by the organization without vendor or service provider assistance and realized huge improvements in data quality that translated to measurable cost savings. In the operational BI category, Group Lambert was the winner. The judges were impressed with the risk this medium-sized business took in this tough economy to invest in BI. In the corporate performance management category, Echo was the winner, presenting a great case of implementing performance management from start to finish within the construction industry.

Shawn Rogers, BeyeNETWORK Co-Founder and Editorial Director, presented the awards at a dinner at the Colonial Palace in Tervuren on September 16 and commented, “Congratulations to DHL, Group Lambert and Echo for being leaders in using technology to create true business value. These awards were created to recognize companies that use software to gain business benefit, provide innovation, contain costs, improve technology and impact company strategy. It is an honor to see the results that dedicated individuals can make and the impact that software implementations can have on an organization.”

Ivan Schotsmans, Founder of the BI-Community.org who partnered with the BeyeNETWORK stated, “Our goal is to support a network of business intelligence professionals. This award gives a chance to recognize those organizations who aim to achieve business intelligence excellence by providing true business value.”
